We are proud to announce that Glenn Leembruggen (Principal of Acoustic Directions) was awarded the 2021 Peter Barnett Memorial Award for his contributions to the acoustics and electro-acoustics industries.
Presented by the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) in the United Kingdom, this award recognises advancements and technical excellence in the fields of electro-acoustics, speech intelligibility, and education in acoustics & electro-acoustics.
Throughout his career, Glenn has made many contributions to these fields. Testament to this is his membership and active involvement with various internationally-recognised committees such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Standards Committee Maintenance Team for 60268-18, the Measurement of intelligibility by Speech Transmission Index , and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). Glenn is also an active member of the Association of Australasian Acoustical Consultants (AAAC) and is truly passionate about high standards of design and implementation, and about sharing his acoustic and electroacoustic knowledge with others.
